Valentina Cernoia was born in Manerbio on 22 June 1991 and joined AC Milan in the summer of 2023 having previously divided her career between two clubs. After developing at Manerbio Virtus, she moved to Brescia in the summer of 2008. She remained at the Biancoblù for nine seasons, contributing to a promotion to Serie A and other major triumphs in the following years: two Scudetto titles, three Coppa Italia victories and three Supercoppa Italiana successes. It was also a period that saw her make her first Champions League appearances. In the summer of 2017, she signed for the newly formed Juventus, where, across six seasons, she won the Scudetto (x5), Coppa Italia (x3) and Supercoppa Italiana (x3). As of June 2023, she had scored 52 goals in 255 matches in the Italian top-flight. In her first year with the Rossonere, she made 17 appearances between league games and the Coppa Italia. Valentina has also been a key figure for Italy over the years: she's won 77 caps for her country (as of June 2024), scored 14 goals and participated in two World Cups (2019 and 2023) and two European Championships (2017 and 2022).
