KESSIE STARTS, IVORY COAST WIN

It was Franck Kessie's turn to play for his national team. In the Niger capital of Niamey, Ivory Coast beat the hosts soundly, winning 3-0 in an AFCON 2021 qualifier. The goals were scored by Aurier (25'), Gradel (34') and Kanon (60'). The Rossoneri midfielder started the game and played the full 90 minutes. It was a hugely important win for Les Éléphants, who return to the top of Group K on 10 points after five matches.
