Noah Okafor was born in Binningen - in the canton of Basel-Landschaft - to a Nigerian father and Swiss mother on 24 May 2000. After initially starting out at FC Arisdorf, he developed as a player in the youth ranks of FC Basel. He made his professional debut in May 2018, while his first goal arrived a few months later at the start of a season that saw him lift his first trophy (the Swiss Cup) and make his Switzerland debut (in the Final Four of the Nations League).
He remained at FC Basel until January 2020, when he was signed by FC Salzburg to replace Erling Håland. He won numerous domestic trophies in Austria (four league titles and three Austrian Cups) and also started to establish himself at Champions League level. On 8 December 2021, he netted the winner against Sevilla as Die Roten Bullen qualified for the round of 16 of Europe's elite competition for the very first time. He also shone in Austria and Europe in 2022/23, during which he scored against AC Milan in the Champions League group stage. After continuous growth as a professional at his first two clubs, and having taken part in the 2022 World Cup with Switzerland, he joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2023.
