Signed in January 2007 from Real Madrid to help AC Milan qualify for the following Champions League, Ronaldo duly fulfilled the task scoring 7 goals in 14 games. Already employed by the Spanish side in the top continental club competition, according to the rules he could not participate in the exciting run that saw his teammates triumph in the Champions League final in Athens. The following year a knee injury abruptly ended the Brazilian’s adventure with the Rossoneri.
