LIBERALI AND BONOMI LEAD THE PRIMAVERA TO A 2-0 WIN OVER CAGLIARI

Two goals in three minutes seal the third consecutive league win for the Rossoneri

The Primavera team won and impressed once again, securing a 2-0 victory over Cagliari on Matchday 11 of the league. Goals from Liberali and Bonomi, scored within three minutes, were enough to decide the match held at the PUMA House of Football. This crucial win marked the third consecutive victory in Primavera 1 and gave a new boost to their ambitions. The performance was one of maturity, with Coach Guidi's team showing confidence in their abilities, redeeming their midweek European setback. The table now shows 22 points, with a temporary tie at the top, awaiting the results of the remaining fixtures.

Goals and assists for the two scorers of the day, who swapped roles in the scoreline. A sharp move from Liberali, assisted by Bonomi, broke the deadlock in what had been a balanced and tightly contested match. The second goal, assisted by Mattia and scored by Alessandro, stunned the visitors and sealed the final outcome. AC Milan conceded very little to their opponents, who were only dangerous with a shot that hit the post at the end of the first half but failed to surprise the vigilant Rossoneri defence. The conditions of Duțu and Raveyre, who were substituted early due to injury, will be monitored. Now, a one-week break before returning to action against Lecce on Saturday, 23 November. Well done, lads, keep it up!

MATCH REPORT
AC Milan started slowly, and Duțu was forced to leave the field early due to a physical issue. The first real chance came in the 13th minute when Liberali set up Scotti, whose shot was saved by Iliev with his feet. The match struggled to find a rhythm, with both teams staying compact. The breakthrough came in the 28th minute. Bonomi made a great run and passed to Liberali, who dribbled past Cogoni and placed a precise left-foot shot into the net for 1-0. Just three minutes later, AC Milan doubled their lead. Liberali played a perfect ball through to Bonomi, who rounded Iliev and Soldati before calmly finishing into the net for 2-0 in the 31st minute. AC Milan continued to press, with Bonomi forcing another save from Iliev in the 42nd minute. Cagliari’s best chance came in first-half stoppage time when a deflected shot from Bolzan hit the post. AC Milan led 2-0 at the break.

The second half started at a slow pace, with AC Milan showing no urgency and allowing Cagliari to come forward. The visitors made changes in an attempt to get back into the game but failed to create any real danger near Raveyre's goal, as the Rossoneri remained solid and shut down every passing lane. In the 68th minute, a scramble in the box allowed Bonomi, set up by Mancioppi, to take a shot that beat Iliev, but Cogoni was on hand to clear the ball off the line, preventing the third goal. Cagliari tried to respond with Vinciguerra between the 73rd and 76th minutes, first testing Raveyre with a right-footed shot from a tight angle, which the goalkeeper saved in two attempts. Then, Raveyre closed down on Vinciguerra’s next chance but was forced to stop after picking up an injury. Bonomi had another opportunity in the 85th minute but shot wide from a good position. There were no further chances in the final moments of the game. The match ended 2-0 in our favour!
