GOALLESS DRAW BETWEEN THE PRIMAVERA AND LIVERPOOL

Only a goal was missing for the Rossoneri on the opening matchday in the Youth League: 0-0

The Primavera's first match of the season in the UEFA Youth League 2024/2025 ends in a goalless draw: Milan 0-0 Liverpool at the PUMA House of Football. The Rossoneri took command of the game, the rhythm and the possession with great conviction but were not successful in getting the goal that they truly deserved. Matchday 1 saw 90 minutes of intense action but real chances were few and far between for both sides. After a slow first half, Guidi's men dominated the Reds after half-time, only to be denied the win.

There were certainly close calls: Camarda's header hit the woodwork, and Misciur's last-minute intervention miraculously saved Bonomi's shot. The applause after the final whistle was well-deserved by the team, keeping a clean sheet against talented opponents and showing growth. To replicate our form in the last two years, the team has to adapt to the competition's new format, which this game definitely helped with. The next test is the derby against Inter on Sunday 22 September, happening across town at Inter's stadium. Go get them!

MATCH REPORT
AC Milan
controlled the possession during the first phases of the game whilst Liverpool were finding their pace. The first chances fell to Morrison, who saw his attempts at the 18th and 20th minute go wide. The Rossoneri responded on 28 minutes: Comotto played in Camarda who fed Sia with a backheel but the ensuing effort was underhit and easy for Misciur. A huge chance came to AC Milan in the 42nd minute as Bakoune broke into the box and played the ball into the middle; the ball bounced around and dropped to Liberali who fired straight at Misciur from a few yards out. The first half ended goalless.

The game restarted intensely after the break. Bakoune's crosses were catching the Reds' defensive line off guard but neither Camarda (47') nor Stalmach (55') could convert. Still AC Milan. In the 56th minute, Camarda went long to Ibrahimović, who drew a save from Misciur. A minute later, the Rossoneri's Number 9 headed onto the upright. Guidi's boys kept pushing and shut the Reds into their own half with an effective press; only the final ball was missing. Two attempts from the edge of the penalty area, first from Comotto and then Sala, were tested Liverpool. The final chance of the game fell to the Rossoneri but Misciur made a miraculous save to deny Bonomi from close range (85'). It ended 0-0.
