After two convincing wins, the Primavera team of Guidi faced their first setback of the season on Matchday 3. The match between Genoa and AC Milan ended 3-1 in favour of the hosts. Diego Sia opened the scoring for the Rossoneri, but Arboscello and Venturino responded, with Nuredini sealing the victory. It was a performance marked by grit and determination from the Rossoneri, who fought relentlessly until the final whistle in a game impacted by Perera's red card towards the end of a balanced first half. Consequently, AC Milan adopted a more defensive approach in the second half, but they still managed to threaten the opposition in the closing stages.
The final score certainly leaves a bitter taste, especially considering the strong start that saw Sia's strike put AC Milan ahead. However, the double yellow card left the Rossoneri with ten men, giving the home side the advantage to patiently capitalise on their opportunities. The AC Milan squad continues to grow younger and more resourceful. Today's Primavera 1 match saw debut appearances for Grilli and Ossola. Now, it's time for a break to recharge, with the team returning to action on the weekend of 14 September for the clash against Empoli at the PUMA House of Football.

MATCH REPORT
The Rossoneri took control of the game early on and broke the deadlock with their first shot on target. In the eleventh minute, Comotto delivered a cross to Sia, who pounced on the ball with great determination, striking it on the slide and catching Consiglio off guard to make it 1-0. The match remained lively but without further clear-cut chances, and the cooling break failed to reignite either side. Genoa began to grow into the game after the half-hour mark; Parmiggiani blocked Romano's attempt in the 33rd minute, but two minutes later, the equaliser arrived. Venturino sent in a cross in the 35th minute, and Arboscello controlled it inside the area before firing home to level at 1-1. The game changed in the 41st minute when Perera received a second booking and was sent off, leaving AC Milan with ten men. In injury time, Colzani tipped Fazio's close-range header over the bar, and the teams went into halftime all square.
After half-time, the hosts immediately increased the tempo, bolstered by their numerical superiority. In the 48th minute, Colzani made a superb save against Venturino’s left-footed shot, while Nissen cleared Ghirardello’s follow-up effort from a great position for a corner. AC Milan tried to slow down the tempo and create danger on the counter-attack and from set pieces, but Genoa continued to press and went ahead in the 61st minute: Rossi struck powerfully from the edge of the box, Colzani parried, but Venturino tapped in from close range. After the goal, the intensity dropped sharply, and there were few attacking chances. The Rossoblù tried to close out the match with attempts from Venturino (78’) and Dorgu (81’), but Colzani denied them both. AC Milan pressed forward in the closing minutes: Grilli was blocked at the crucial moment in the 86th minute, and Scotti’s overhead kick in the 90th minute went over the bar. In stoppage time, Nuredini cut inside on his right foot and scored, making it 3-1 to end the match.
