PRIMAVERA BEATEN BY SAMP: 2-0

A goal in each half sees the Rossoneri defeated by a clinical Sampdoria

Matchday 28 ended in defeat for the Primavera. The 2-0 defeat was a harsh scoreline when you consider the game between Sampdoria and AC Milan. The Doriani were in a clinical mood, taking the few chances they had in the match. A goal in each half, from Alesi on 26' and Leonardi on 52', gave the points to the Ligurians. The defeat interrupts the good form of Abate's side following the wins against Lazio and Juventus. AC Milan remain seventh in the table.

The playoff places remain within reach, we're just two points away from fifth place, currently held jointly by Sassuolo and Torino. This should serve as motivation to put this result behind us and start afresh from the positives seen in Genoa, such as the numerous opportunities created and some individual performances. The April schedule continues and offers a chance for an immediate comeback. On Saturday 13 April (at 11:00 CEST) we host Empoli at the PUMA House of Football, the last game before the Youth League Final Four in Nyon.

MATCH REPORT
The game at Bogliasco started well for the Rossoneri with a header from Zeroli on 3', which was well saved by Scardigno. In the ninth minute, the Doriano goalkeeper also reacted quickly to Scotti's right diagonal shot, freed by a nice long pass from Nsiala. It wasn't until the 24 Minute that the hosts had an effort on goal, with Raveyre denying Leonardi. However, on 26', Sampdoria took the lead when Alesi tapped in a cross from Georgiadis. The Rossoneri reacted with a Scotti strike on 33' but his shot was high from Sia's cross. Shortly after, on 38',
Simić struck a beautiful right-footed volley from the edge of the box, but it was too central. On 40', the ball deflected off Zeroli from a free-kick, but Scardigno saved it on the line.

The second half got off to a bad start when, on 52', Leonardi doubled the lead for the Dorinai. The Rossoneri reacted well. On 60', Scotti has a shot blocked. Abate tried to change things with some substitutions. One of the changes, Liberali, shot high from an excellent position on 66'. Conti is called to make a goal-line clearance from Simić's header on 68'. The pace of the game dropped, and the match faded out. After four minutes of added time, the final whistle blew.
