SIA AND SCOTTI HAND PRIMAVERA A 2-0 WIN OVER LECCE

The Rossoneri back to winning ways with a goal in each half

The Rossoneri get back to winning ways with a goal in each half! The Primavera won convincingly in front of the home crowd. Abate's Rossoneri beat Lecce 2-0 with a goal from the brilliant Diego Sia in the first half and Filippo Scotti in the second. With this win on matchday 10, AC Milan got back to winning ways following a defeat in their previous outing in the competition - with the fantastic victory over PSG in between - to go to 23 points in the table.

Following a first half that the Rossoneri largely dominated, creating plenty of chances, they put in a measured performance after the break to see it out, with our boys having the lion's share of possession. They hadn't kept a clean sheet in five straight matches prior to this, so it's an important sign that AC Milan were so solid at the back, affording their opponents very few chances. Our young Rossoneri made it a birthday to remember for their coach. Now, we have the international break, after which our Primavera get back to it with a home fixture against Cagliari at the PUMA House of Football. Great work, lads, keep it up!

MATCH REPORT
AC Milan started strongly. Sia had two early chances, first firing over from Jiménez's cross before sending an acrobatic finish wide of the past after the ball in from Malaspina. Jiménez tried to get things going for the Rossoneri in the 25th minute, after which Scotti was denied. AC Milan took the lead on the half-hour mark: a long ball for Sia, who brought it under his spell and beat Lampinen-Skaug with a delicate finish. The Rossoneri kept at it and came close to doubling their lead through Camarda (38') and then Zeroli (41'). We went into the break with a slim lead.

The run of play didn't change after the break. In the 48th minute, a chance fell the way of Stalmach, who leathered it but sent it over the crossbar. Scotti then got AC Milan's second, breaking free from the defence and unleashing an angled finish to put it beyond a helpless Lampinen-Skaug, 2-0 to AC Milan. Lecce struggled to react and the Rossoneri kept at it. Malaspina dragged his shot wide in the 76th minute, and then Samek had a go from range but to no avail (80'). More chances: Sia (82') and Magni (85') fired off target before Raveyre produced a brilliant reflex save at the other end to deny Agrimi (86'). It finished 2-0 to us!
