AC MILAN PRIMAVERA MAKE IT 12 IN A ROW

Goals from Maldini and Colombo seal yet another win for Coach Giunti's side: Cremonese beaten 1-2

It was perhaps the most complicated match of the Primavera's winning streak, but the team ultimately extended their run today: goals from Maldini, who was later sent off, and Colombo, his fourth in two matches, were enough to seal a 1-2 win away to Cremonese. It's now twelve consecutive wins for the Rossoneri, with the very first of these victories having come against the same side and ended in the same scoreline. Back then, a Colombo brace sunk the Grigiorossi. Since 19 October, nobody has been able to stop Coach Giunti's team, who now have a ten-point lead over second-place SPAL with six matches left to play. Next Saturday, on 15 February, AC Milan Primavera will travel to Parma to face a side who they beat 6-0 at Vismara earlier on in the season.

MATCH REPORT
The Rossoneri took the lead in the tenth minute through Daniel Maldini, who did well to finish off a great team move. Despite not being at their best, the Primavera were in control, although Spini did hit the bar for Cremonese from an indirect free kick inside the area. With 44 minutes on the clock, Maldini was sent off by referee Collu for dissent. The home side then had a golden opportunity to level matters but Bertazzoli struck the woodwork from the penalty spot. Coach Giunti brought on Oddi and Colombo at the break and the latter would go on to score the Rossoneri's second in the 83rd minute. He has now found the net six times this season in just 35 minutes of football, more or less equivalent to a goal every 22 minutes. Sow reduced the arrears in the closing stages with a header before Soncin produced a great save to ensure that AC Milan came away with the spoils.

COACH GIUNTI'S WORDS
"The match was heading in the right direction following Maldini's opener, we were in control. After we went down to ten men, we were forced to show a spirit of sacrifice. We did well to fight for every ball and double our lead in the second half. We had to dig in at the end but it's a deserved win overall."
