A historic afternoon for the AC Milan Women. In Vinovo, the Rossoneri defeated Juventus 2-1: Piemonte scored first - a penalty at the end of the first half and a red for Boattin - and then, in the second half, Thomas made Sembrant's second-half goal irrelevant. After the success in the first leg, with the 4-3 win at the Albinoleffe Stadium, Ganz's team repeated with an essentially perfect match, conducted in the best of ways between a first half of personality and a second half in which, in numerical superiority, the team took relatively little risk striking at the right moment.
The stats reveal the extent of AC Milan's triumph today: Juventus had not lost at home for 49 league games. A streak that ended this afternoon, bringing the Rossonere to just 6 points from 2nd place and qualification for the next Women's Champions League. A comeback that will continue and will have to be looked for in the upcoming Poule Scudetto (starting in March) but also in the last two appointments of the first phase: it starts next Sunday, at home against Pomigliano.

MATCH REPORT
After just 50 seconds came the chance for Asllani, closed down by the Bianconere defender as she fired the shot. It was the prelude to a start of the match that saw the Rossonere constantly in the offensive half, looking for gaps in the organised Bianconere defence. In the 15th minute, Juventus came close to taking the lead with a cross from Lenzini, while in the 22nd minute, it was AC Milan who showed their attacking threat with Thomas, who forced Peyraud-Magnin into a difficult save. Ganz's team came forward again in the final minutes: in the 39th minute Asllani put in a cross for Thomas, whose header just missed the target; in the 41st, a prolonged action ended with a shot from 25 yards by Mascarello that didn't miss the post by much. The turning point of the match came in the dying minutes: Boattin blocked Nouwen's shot on the line with her hand. The result: a red card and a penalty for the Rossonere, which was converted with icy coolness by Martina Piemonte.
The second half saw Juventus pushing forward in search of an equaliser but, at the same time, giving up space. For example, in the 54th minute when K. Dubcová, with a backheel in the small area was intercepted by Thomas. In the 61st minute, a counter-attack by Asllani who, after a crunching tackle from Rosucci, missed the moment for the finish. In the 68th minute, a great reflex by Giuliani on Gama's accurate shot from the edge of the box, while in the 70th minute Beerensteyn hit the crossbar. AC Milan, however, struck, with the second goal, in the 75th minute: Piemonte's attempt was blocked and Thomas came in to finish it off for 2-0. The Rossonere's double advantage deflated the hosts' initiative, with Grimshaw going close to making it 3-0 on 85 minutes. Sembrant's late goal was irrelevant to the final result: AC Milan won!
