A fantastic performance. Following the international break, the Rossonere returned to action in style, recording an impressive win over Pomigliano. It finished 6-2 at Vismara, with Coach Ganz’s girls scoring five of their goals in the first half. Bergamaschi and Piemonte both bagged braces, while Adami and Stapelfeldt also got on the scoresheet as AC Milan emerged victorious for the third successive game after their previous triumphs over Fiorentina and Empoli. The result was never in doubt, with the Rossonere putting the game to bed in the opening half an hour thanks to a decisive approach that saw them work excellently as a team.
As a result of this victory, Ganz’s girls have kept their hopes of finishing in second place alive, although they remain five points behind Roma with just two matchdays to go. The Rossonere’s opponents will be Inter and Juventus, who they’ll also face in the Coppa Italia in their next fixture.

HOW IT UNFOLDED
The team’s attitude was spot on from the get-go, and it didn’t take long for the Rossonere to take the lead. In the fifth minute, Thomas broke down the right and found Bergamaschi, who was left with an easy tap-in from close range. AC Milan doubled their advantage on the 15-minute mark through Martina Piemonte, who found the net on her return from injury: Tucceri Cimini whipped in a precise cross and the Rossonere No.18 headed into the far corner. In the 27th minute, Adami bagged the team’s third as she headed home Tucceri Cimini’s corner. Six minutes later, Bergamaschi won back possession at the edge of the area and beat Cetinja with a lovely lob for the Rossonere’s fourth. Pomigliano responded and reduced the arrears through Della Peruta, but, before half-time, Piemonte then made it five with a fine right-footed strike from the edge of the box.
The match was played at a lower tempo at the restart. AC Milan remained in control, even if Moraca scored a fantastic goal for the visitors on the hour mark. The Rossonere began to create chances again, with Thomas and Longo threatening in particular, and the sixth goal of the day came courtesy of Stapelfeldt, who had only just come on. With 79 minutes on the clock, Nina received the ball from Thomas (like Tucceri Cimini, two assists for her) and fired past Cetinja with her right foot. 6-2 is how it finished as Ganz’s girls made it three wins in a row.
