WOMEN'S SERIE A: AC MILAN V JUVE AT SAN SIRO

An historic first for women's football

A great stage for a great game: on Monday 5 October at 20:45 CEST, the game between the Rossonere and Juventus in Serie A femminile will be played at San Siro.

The Scala of football will host one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures in the division and, for the first time ever, a game of women's football will be played in one of the world's most iconic stadia - the scene of innumerable win for the first team and history international encounters.

Now, captain Valentina Giacinti & Co, led by coach Maurizio Ganz, will be able to live through the emotions of stepping out onto that pitch.

For Maurizio Ganz, who played at San Siro as a player, it will be a night that's full of emotions:

"It'll be a special moment for me. I don't know exactly what I'll do when I get to San Siro. It will probably be a strange feeling to be there; last time I was there, I was playing. It'll be my first time as a coach. It'll be great and it'll be a historic evening. Furthermore, I'm happy for my players. I think it'll be a great source of pride to play in that stadium. They know just what it means for every AC Milan player and I think it's right that - after so much sacrifice, work and passion - that they get to take the field at San Siro on this occasion. I need to thank the Club, who turned this dream into a reality."
