WOMEN'S FIRST TEAM TO STEP UP PREPARATIONS

From 25 July to 4 August, the Rossonere will take part in a training camp in Tarvisio

The captain of AC Milan Women, Valentina Giacinti, and her teammates returned to the Centro Sportivo Vismara ten days ago. They have been preparing for the start of the season, which kicks off on 22 August.

Before then, the Rossonere, coached for the second consecutive year by Maurizio Ganz and his team, will be at a training camp in Tarvisio from 25 July to 4 August.  Training sessions will be held at the local sports centre, while the team will stay at the Hotel Spartiacque, stricly abiding by their hygeine guidelines.

As far as the squad is concerned, eight new players have joined an already competitive squad: Selena Dalia Babb (goalkeeper), Laura Agard and Giorgia Spinelli (defenders), Christy Grimshaw and Caroline Rask (central midfielders), Natasha Dowie (forward). Alongside the aforementioned players, Carolina Morleo and Maria Vittoria Nano will join the first team from the Club's youth sector.

They will link up with the players from last season's squad, which included: Valentina Giacinti, Valentina Bergamaschi, Laura Fusetti, Lidija Kuliš with Maria Korenciova and Alessia Piazza in goal, Francesca Vitale, Federica Rizza, Linda Tucceri in defence, Refiloe Jane, Dominika Čonč, Claudia Mauri in midfield, Deborah Salvatori Rinaldi, Miriam Longo and Sara Tamborini in attack. Isabel Cacciamali and Anita Coda are both still contracted to the club, but both will spend the 2020/21 season on loan at Cittadella.

There is a strong sense of enthusiasm within the group, which is ready to fight to equal or better their third-place finish last season, which was determined by an algorithm due to the coronavirus pandemic. They hope to reach the Champions League and fight for all possible trophies, including the Supercoppa Italiana, which will be played in January.
