CONCEIÇÃO: "RESULTS COUNT, NOT WORDS"

The Coach and Mike Maignan spoke from Riyadh on the eve of Juventus v AC Milan

A great classic, in some ways unprecedented and from a unique perspective. Juventus v AC Milan is worth a spot in the Supercoppa Italiana 2024/25 final. The game is scheduled for Friday 3 January at 20:00 CET and was introduced in a press conference by Coach Conceição and Mike Maignan, live on the AC Milan Official App and Milan TV.

SÉRGIO CONCEIÇÃO

HIS FIRST ROSSONERI DAYS
"I found a humble team, willing to learn and understand what I ask of them. This is a very important basis for doing quality work. There was little time to work, but we tried to be decisive in saying what we need to improve from a game point of view, to be competitive and try to win against Juventus. Having more time would have been better, but there are no excuses. We are preparing to be sharp during the game. In a big club, results count."

JUVENTUS AND HIS SON FRANCISCO
"I'm not excited: I just have a bit of a cold and fever. At home, I am the father, on the pitch an opponent, and he thinks the same way. There are no emotions; I want to win. He has the characteristics of an unconventional player, with above-average technique. Juventus has many quality players, who are young and who work hard. They have conceded few goals and play in a compact formation. We will have to succeed in dismantling their excellent defensive organisation. I don't want to undermine the quality of my team: we will work together as a group."

EYES ON THE PRESENT
"I haven't had time to talk about the market with the club. We have to work every day to get the results, then we'll see. There is pressure: the stadium will be full, but I am happy. We do a fantastic job, we earn good money, we are known and lucky. We have to use the talent we have been given to do well. We want to do better than the last few years and build a better future."

MIKE MAIGNAN

THE NEW COACH
"We know that a change is never easy. We have been focused and careful to listen to the new coach to facilitate an integration as quickly as possible. It's Juventus v AC Milan, a semi-final: very important for the club and for all of us."

THE MESSAGE TO ALL ROSSONERI FANS
"I don't like to talk too much. We are here to play, to do better. I know my teammates; we try to give our best every day with professionalism. We don't like the recent results any more than our fans: we work every day to win."
