6 FACTS ON AC MILAN v LIVERPOOL

The main stats ahead of the Rossoneri's sixth Champions League fixture

A night for the ages. AC Milan v Liverpool is the last match in Group B of the Champions League for the Rossoneri, and it could mean qualification for the round of 16, provided that we win and all goes well between Porto and Atlético at the Dragão. Ahead of the match at San Siro, kicking-off tomorrow at 21:00 CET, here are some interesting facts and figures concerning the fixture between Stefano Pioli and Jürgen Klopp's respective sides:

1- This will be the fourth official meeting between AC Milan and Liverpool. All three previous meetings have taken place in the Champions League: a Rossoneri victory (the 2007 final), a draw (the 2005 final) and a victory for the Reds (the reverse fixture on 15 September this year).

2- The previous three meetings between AC Milan and Liverpool have seen a total of 14 goals scored (including extra time), with both teams netting seven each.

3- AC Milan's last win against an English side in a European match came in February 2012, when they won 4-0 against Arsenal in the round of 16 of the Champions League.

4- No AC Milan player has been responsible for more shots than Theo Hernández in this season's Champions League (nine - three shots taken and six chances created). The Frenchman is also the AC Milan player who has completed the most dribbles of at least 5 metres in the competition this season (50).

5- Ismaël Bennacer is the AC Milan midfielder with the most tackles won (six), the most balls recovered (34) and the most successful passes (144) in this year's Champions League. The Algerian is also the sixth midfielder in terms of duels won this year in the Champions League (38), but, among these six, he is the only one who has played less than 400 minutes (344).

6- Sandro Tonali is one of eleven midfielders born after 2000 with at least 100 successful passes in the Champions League this year (111).
