It was an important win, both for the huge scoreline and the three massive points. AC Milan have run riot in Turin, beating Torino following Sunday's victory over Juventus, and have their destiny firmly in their own hands in the race for the Champions League. This 7-0 win over the Granata sees the Rossoneri take third sport at the end of matchday 36 in Serie A. The win also produced the following stats:
- AC Milan have won 15 games away from home in Serie A this season, equalling the best-ever tally in a single top-flight campaign.
- AC Milan have won a Serie A match by a seven-goal margin for the first time since June 1959 - v Udinese (7-0).
- AC Milan have scored seven goals in Serie A for the first time since 12 May 1996 against Cremonese (7-1). The Rossoneri have also scored seven goals in Serie A away from home for the first time since October 1992 against Fiorentina (7-3).
- AC Milan have beaten Torino away from home for the first time since December 2012. AC Milan have beaten both Torino and Juventus away from home in a single Serie A season for the first time since 1967/68.
- Franck Kessie is the first AC Milan midfielder to score more than ten goals in a single Serie A season since Kaká back in 2008/09. The Ivorian is the third AC Milan midfielder to have been involved in 15+ goals (11 goals and four assists) in a single Serie A season since 2004/05.
- Ante Rebić is the first AC Milan player to score a hat-trick against Torino in Serie A since Carlos Bacca in August 2016.
- Theo Hernández is one of just two defenders with at least six goals scored in the last two seasons in one of Europe’s Top-5 Leagues, alongside Robin Gosens. The Frenchman is the only defender to have bagged two multiple-goal hauls in Europe’s Top-5 Leagues in 2020/21.
