2024 certainly hasn’t been for the faint-hearted, with the Rossoneri proving once again that they never give up. After their comeback in Udine, AC Milan also came from behind to beat Frosinone 3-2 this evening. Giroud opened the scoring, only for the hosts to then score through a Soulé penalty and a goal from Mazzitelli. However, Pioli’s men have fantastic character and turned things around through Matteo Gabbia - his first-ever goal in Serie A - and Luka Jović, who bagged the winner just moments after coming on.
It's no coincidence that the Rossoneri have scored the most goals through substitutes this campaign (ten), because this is a group that wins as a team. The Diavolo have once again shown their ability to overcome difficulties and emerge victorious with real determination. The Rossoneri, who have recorded three consecutive away wins and are eight unbeaten in the league, now need to keep pushing. The Rossoneri, who have 49 points to their name, have consolidated their third-place position and can look ahead to the rest of an intense February with confidence, starting with AC Milan v Napoli next Sunday.

MATCH REPORT
The match started at a very high tempo. The hosts were the first to threaten through Soulé after just 40 seconds, while, at the other end, Pulisic wasn’t quite able to get a shot away after a fine Rossoneri counter-attack (3’). AC Milan continued to grow into the game as the minutes ticked by and opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Giroud, who headed past Turati from a Leão cross. The Portuguese man was then involved in the hosts’ equaliser after 22 minutes: he was penalised for handball in the box, and Soulé stepped up to convert the resulting penalty. AC Milan looked to respond: Pulisic tested Turati from a tight angle on the half-hour mark, while Giroud just failed to connect with another good Leão cross in the 35th minute. In the closing stages of the opening period, a deflected effort from Rafa was clawed away by the goalkeeper, who also comfortably saved a header from Reijnders.
Pioli’s men returned to the pitch with the aim of getting on the front foot, but Frosinone had the best chances through Seck and Kaio Jorge. Coach Pioli made two changes - Bennacer and Okafor entered the fray - but the home side took a 65th-minute lead through Mazzitelli. AC Milan found themselves behind but weren’t about to give up. An equaliser soon followed with 72 minutes on the clock: Giroud nodded the ball down for Gabbia, who converted from point-blank range. The Diavolo went on the hunt for a winner: Leão once again sprinted forward in the 74th minute, but no one was ready for his pull-back. However, AC Milan completed their comeback through the newly introduced Jović, who was quick to react following a ricochet in the six-yard box. As the match drew to a close, Leão went on yet another strong run, while Musah made an excellent defensive intervention in the 90th minute. After five minutes of added time, the final whistle was blown: 3-2 to us.
