JUVENTUS v AC MILAN: MATCH PREVIEW

A huge game of vital importance: everything on the clash between the Bianconeri and the Rossoneri

A long and busy season is entering its final stages with the last away trip and, at the same time, one of the most anticipated fixtures of the year. Meetings between Juventus and AC Milan always catch the attention of football fans and this season's encounter, which will close out matchday 37 in Serie A, is no different. For the Rossoneri, the fixture against one of its biggest rivals is doubly important, as it could see qualification to next season's Champions League. The game kicks off at 20:45 CEST and as we approach the game, let's delve into our Match Preview

LATEST FROM MILANELLO
Give the results from Inter, Atalanta and Roma yesterday, a win or draw will give AC Milan's final league placing in the top four. With only three absentees - the injured Bennacer, Florenzi and Ibrahimović - Coach Pioli has almost everyone at his disposal for the game at the Allianz Stadium. In the 4-2-3-1 formation, there are still two question marks: Thiaw or Kjær to partner Tomori in the centre of defence, and Messias or Saelemaekers out on the right. Although, it is possible we may see a tactical change, similar to the one made in the reverse fixture, with Pobega coming in a central attacking midfield role with Díaz out wide on the right. The rest should be the same side that started against the win over Sampdoria, while Origi, Rebić and Vranckx are all back as alternatives to change the course of the game, if necessary.

These are the words of Coach Pioli in his press conference: "We haven't had a full week of training for a long time, we took the opportunity to recover energy and prepare as well as we can. We'll come up against a focused and determined Juventus side. There are only two games left and we have to do everything we can to finish in the top four: it's a very important game. We want show how good we are."

LATEST FROM JUVENTUS
A complex season for Juve has seen them with two disappointments recently: the 4-1 defeat to Empoli and elimination from the Europa League at the hands of Seville. With the off-field problems surrounding the club, the Bianconeri will be looking for an important result to send away their supporters happy on matchday 37, their final home game in the 2022/23 Serie A campaign. Allegri has a long list of absentees - Bonucci and De Sciglio and midfielders Fagioli, Pogba and Soulé - and also received bad news with Vlahović picking up an injury in training during the week. If the Serb is not available, then Milik will take his place at the top of the Bianconeri's 3-5-2 formation. Alongside the Polish striker is set to be between Di Maria or Chiesa, with important returns from suspension for Danilo and Cuadrado.

"It's the last home game of the season, and it's still a game between Juventus and AC Milan," said Massimiliano Allegri on the eve of the match. "The stadium will be full, we want to make it a good night and improve our position in the table. The season is dependent on tomorrow's game. We have had two horrid defeats in a row, it's up to us to have the strength to turn this form around.
