PIOLI: "WE'LL NEED CONFIDENCE AND TRUST"

The coach spoke to the press at Milanello ahead of Sunday's game against Sampdoria

San Siro is ready to welcome the Rossoneri, who have recently taken two big wins in the stadium. AC Milan will host Sampdoria at 12:30 CET tomorrow on Serie A matchday 25. This morning, Stefano Pioli gave his pre-match press conference at 9:30 CET, which was broadcast live on Milan TVYouTube e Twitch.

THEO'S RENEWAL
"I think this is a big signal from the Club to those involved, both for the present and future. Having players that feel this sense of belonging means that we're on the right track."

DERBY
"We've always worked with confidence here at Milanello; it's clear that it's even easier to do so when you're getting results. We'll continue to take it game by game and we're clearly satisfied with the outcome of our last two games. Now, we're just focusing on our game tomorrow."

FORMATION
"I always try to name the best team I possibly can. There's a chance that the line-up tomorrow won't be the same as Wednesday but I'm sure that it'll be the best side available. The variations might be made to suit our opponents and also could depend on the physical and mental fitness of individual players. The team has more confidence and maturity now than they did one or two years ago, which is a normal development. We're a young side but we've grown a lot. Now, though, the only thing that matters is the game tomorrow, which will be tough. We're coming up against a team that beat Sassuolo on Sunday.

IBRA AND GIROUD
"Olivier is in great shape at the moment. Zlatan is still only training in part so we will have to be a bit patient. We'll see how the situation develops over the coming days."

AT HOME AND AWAY
"Given the way we have played, I would've expected a more balanced performance but, unfortunately, this hasn't been the case. Our motivation has to be improving our results at home and, in this sense, we must utilise the energy that the fans give us."

THE TABLE
"We have 15 games left, which is a fair amount. Our aim must be to pick up as many points as possible. As if right now, the line between winning and not winning is a thin one; the finer details will make the difference."

THE SCHEDULE
"We'll need to approach our upcoming matches with confidence and trust, giving our all and knowing that most results will depend on us."
