PIOLI: "WE MUST CONTINUE WITH THIS ATTITUDE"

Torino v AC Milan: the Coach's words on the eve of our midweek fixture

Three days later and the location is Turin once again, this time to take on the Granata. The Rossoneri return to action at 20:45 CEST tomorrow, Wednesday 12 May, for the midweek fixture valid for matchday 36 of Serie A: Davide Nicola is the Coach in charge of Torino, who is going through a very positive spell at the moment. On the eve of the match, Coach Pioli held a press conference.

KICKING ON FROM SUNDAY'S WIN
"One of our greatest qualities is balance and how we have bounced back from big defeats, like Lazio. Now, we're just concentrating on tomorrow's game, which is an important one. Given that we're facing a sightly different opposition and because we need points to reach our objective."

ZLATAN'S INJURY AND CHOICES UP TOP
"The only sour note from a near-perfect night. He's got a slight knee problem and will not be available for tomorrow or for Sunday. We'll keep tabs on his development over the next week. Brahim has the characteristics to determine games and he's the best we have at playing between the lines alongside Hakan, but it'll be a totally different game to the one we saw on Sunday. Our aim is to bring our own characteristics to bear and to fully profit from them. But we will also look to match up with their positions, as they can gift you chances. A mature team makes the right choices at the right time."

DONNARUMMA'S SITUATION
"Gigio is a professional and is very invested in AC Milan and us right now. Like the rest of the players, he's focused on the Torino game and on the end of the season. Nobody will think or talk about his future until 24 May. We just need to concentrate on our game tomorrow."

REBIĆ'S SITUATION
"Ante is invested in his work and the work that we're doing. He's a starter at AC Milan and he knows it. He reacted well on Sunday. I prepare for games on the basis of what I think could benefit us the most and what I think is right for the team. Everyone that isn't picked to start should be angry - they all want to play. I've always told the players that it's not a problem if, one day, they stop chatting to me and turn their backs; the important thing is that we never lack the spirit of sacrifice and a hunger to help the team.2

THE GROUP AND INDIVIDUALS
"You play, you win and you lose as a team. Individual performances lift the side, though there's a collective that has worked hard in the same direction all season."

CHOICES FOR TORINO
"I picked the team for Juve based on the defensive phase, which I didn't like against Benevento. We tried to play with a more compact team and when you are that compact, you are more organised and more aggressive, and the defenders need to work less. The team looks to have recovered well; between today and tomorrow, I will have a think about team selections."

POSSIBLE ELATION
"I'm always more concerned with the game but I don't fear elation. I don't know how Torino will approach the game; on our side, we need to dictate the game in order to kick on from Sunday's performance. We're in the decisive part of the season and we'll need to play with that same spirit. Winning on Sunday gave us a great feeling; we beat a strong team and this has given us confidence but we are conscious of the fact that it's not over yet. We have three games left and we need to keep this attitude up. Each game has its difficulties; being a team means knowing how to overcome them as a unit."

PERSONAL GROWTH
"I try to improve each day because I have a lot of passion. My past experiences have helped me but I still have a lot of hunger to improve. The atmosphere at Milanello is great which helps in my work."
