MATCH REPORT
Many families were in the stands at the Morumbi, with the two teams welcomed onto the pitch by a standing ovation. In the 30-minute first half, the Rossoneri had the first opportunity in the 3rd minute, with a nice left-footed shot from outside the box by Ricardo Oliveira that just missed the target. However, it was the São Paulo Legends who broke the deadlock through Válber, who beat Dida to the ball and slotted home Kaká's low cross on 12 minutes. Then, AC Milan Glorie equalised in the 21st minute: Seedorf's long ball over the top found Ricardo Oliveira, who broke the offside trap, and fired home with his left to beat Marcão.
After the break, a lively start to the second half saw Kaká and Cafu change sides to play for AC Milan, after lining up for the Paulista team in the first half. In the 48th minute, the hosts came close to doubling their lead through Josué, who missed from close range in front of Dida. The second eventually came, however, through Dodô, the true star of the second half: at 2-1 in the 51st minute, he soon bagged a brace before grabbing a hat-trick in the closing stages, taking advantage of an AC Milan team pushing forward in search of an equaliser. They came close to scoring, especially through Guly after 61 minutes and Seedorf's drives forward, but couldn't add to their goal tally.
