JIMENÉZ EARNS A POINT FOR MILAN FUTURO AGAINST PONTEDERA

The Spaniard cancels out Italeng's opener making it 1-1 at the Mannucci

Some draws are worth celebrating, especially when the point earned could prove vital. Milan Futuro's 1-1 draw at Pontedera is a positive outcome following their recent home defeat to Pineto. This result reflects a match that was closely contested and balanced, even if it lacked excitement. The Rossoneri were eager to secure a maximum return but will regret giving away an early lead. On the bright side, they can take comfort in Jiménez's swift response with an impressive goal following Italeng's opener in the first half, as well as Raveyre's crucial penalty save in the second half. Our goalkeeper truly shone that evening, making significant saves for his teammates even before the penalty incident.

At the Mannucci Stadium, we witnessed a true reflection of what Serie C is all about, matches that demand focus, determination, and moments of attacking brilliance. Three points were essential and still are, during this challenging period in a complex league. However, the single point gained allows us to reach a total of 10 in the standings, tying us with Ascoli and Sestri Levante after Matchday 13. Under Bonera's guidance, the team has performed better away from home, but it's crucial now to improve our results on home turf. Our next challenge will take place in Solbiate Arno on Sunday, 10 November, at 15:00 CET against Arezzo. With experience and dedication, we will continue to progress and strive for growth.

MATCH REPORT
Milan Futuro started strong, showing clear intentions from the outset. In the 17th minute, Jiménez tried to generate some action from distance, and just two minutes later, Camarda had the first real chance when he charged forward and shot, narrowly missing the target. At 26 minutes, Fall failed to connect with D'Alessio's cross, which seemed like a promising sign, but then, in the 27th minute, Pontedera struck first. An error by Bartesaghi allowed Italeng to advance. He cut inside and finished with a low left-footed shot past Raveyre. We quickly regrouped, with Jiménez producing a brilliant left-footed shot that curled into the top corner for the equaliser in the 34th minute. As the match continued, we looked the more dangerous side. Jiménez created another threat in the 42nd minute, and Zeroli's weak header in the 45th minute fell short. Just before halftime, Pietra found the net, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

The second half began with a familiar tone, as the Rossoneri demonstrated their determination. In the 49th minute, Fall sent a shot over the bar from the edge of the area, followed by Sandri’s effort from distance that went wide in the 55th. The Granata were less involved, but in the 56th minute, they nearly took the lead again when Ianesi's diagonal shot skimmed the post. As the match shifted in favour of the granata, Vos wasted a golden counter-attack opportunity in the 58th minute, and Raveyre made a miraculous save against Ladinetti in the 61st, denying what looked like a sure goal. A pivotal moment came in the 67th minute when D'Alessio fouled Ianesi in the box, leading to a penalty. Yet again, Raveyre was the hero, diving to make a low save right in front of Ianesi. The closing stages were intense. Zeroli missed a chance in the 80th minute, while Italeng squandered opportunities in both the 82nd and 86th minutes. The match concluded with the referee’s final whistle.
