MILAN FUTURO, THE FIRST WIN: SPAL DEFEATED

Hodzic and Traorè lead the young Rossoneri to a 2-1 victory in Solbiate Arno!

Solbiate Arno proved to be the ideal stage for the Rossoneri management (Ibrahimović, Moncada, D'Ottavio, Kirovski, and Vergine), who were present alongside Fonseca and the staff. It was enough to wait for the right evening when everything aligned. The debut at the Stadio Chinetti marked the historic first victory of Milan Futuro in Serie C. The Rossoneri prevailed over SPAL, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Hodzic, who opened the scoring, and Traorè, who netted the winning goal after Arena's equaliser. It was an energising start, perfect for overcoming a challenging start in the league.

A subdued start, a brilliant second half of the first half, a difficult restart, Hodzic's delightful goal in the 67th minute, a frustrating equaliser conceded in the 82nd minute, and Traorè's decisive strike in the 85th. It was a solid effort, full of dedication and heart; with just a touch of luck, especially with Bruscagin hitting the post near the end, which never hurts. After the sixth matchday, Bonera's team finally managed three points, rising to a total of five and climbing up the table. Well done, lads, enjoy it! And starting tomorrow, it's time to prepare for the next match, as Monday, 30 September at 20:45 CEST will see them away against Lucchese.

MATCH REPORT
Rain and a slippery pitch, but still in good condition. SPAL started better: in the fifth minute, Awua's low shot from the edge went just wide, and in the thirteenth minute, Karllson's turn in a scramble was met with a great save by Raveyre. The Rossoneri were quite reckless and lacked presence in attack until the 25th minute, when Bozzolan set up Longo, who scuffed it with his outside foot. We grew into the game, pushing down the flanks, where in the 32nd minute a deflected cross from Bozzolan forced Melgrati into action. Our attacking pressure increased. In the 38th minute, Sandri's powerful shot from distance was blocked by the goalkeeper, and in the 41st minute, during the best chance of the first half, Cuenca's left-footed shot grazed the far post.

The second half started with a scare. In the 48th minute, a misunderstanding between Magni and Hodzic opened the way for D'Orazio, who broke through but shot poorly. Karllson had two efforts for SPAL. In the 52nd minute from a corner and in the 55th from a cross, both were off target. A brief troublesome phase led to the opening goal. The Rossoneri scored in the 67th minute thanks to Hodzic's lovely left-footed shot into the corner, which he aimed and fired from twenty meters, beating Melgrati. The opponents attacked in response: in the 81st minute, Bozzolan threw himself in front of D'Orazio's almost certain shot; from the ensuing corner, in the 82nd minute, the equaliser arrived: Raveyre denied Büchel but couldn't keep out Arena's follow-up. We didn't give up. Instead, we immediately pushed ahead in a thrilling finale. In the 85th minute, Magni threw the ball in, Fall flicked it on, and Traorè scored with a close-range header. There was a scare in the 89th minute as Bruscagin struck with his right foot, grazing the post. In stoppage time, Sia tried his luck, but it went high.
