LATEST FROM MILAN FUTURO
Second Serie C fixture now, and the fourth official fixture of the season for the team as they start to get accustomed to the league. The match in Chiavari, rough and fragmented, has certainly taught our players a lot. Against Carpi, they will be looking for redemption and, at the same time, their first league win, having already broken the ice with two victories in the Coppa Italia. This week, three new players have joined the squad: forward Nicolò Turco from Salzburg, midfielder Silvano Vos from Ajax, and defender Damir Zukić from ND Primorje.

"We can't wait to get on the pitch",  declared Bonera. "We'll be facing a motivated Carpi, but we are equally driven. We are eager to show and confirm the quality of our game. We are adjusting well to Serie C, and I’m pleased with the players, their training, and the focus they bring to each session. The new arrivals share the same enthusiasm as those who have been here since the start of the preparation, and this aspect gives me confidence in our journey."

LATEST FROM CARPI
Carpi are also ‘new’ to Serie C, having been promoted last May, following their bankruptcy in 2021 and subsequent restart from Serie D. Since last season, Cristian Serpini has been in charge of the Emilia-Romagna side, leading them to a 2-2 home draw in their opening match of the league against Rimini, with goals from Gerbi and Saporetti. Carpi also made some transfer market moves in the final week, including the arrival of left-back Simone Mazzali from Legnago Salus.

"It will be an exciting match. They are a young team with quality and pace. They have talent in every position, so we'll need to be smart in limiting them as much as possible", said captain Alessandro Calanca. "We’ve prepared well and will try to impose our game because we rely heavily on ball possession".
