REIJNDERS DEBUTS WITH THE NETHERLANDS, VICTORY FOR KJÆR

7 September 2023, a date to remember for Tijjani Reijnders. After his convincing start with the Rossoneri, the Dutch midfielder has also debuted with his senior National team. The Netherlands hosted Greece in Eindhoven, and Tijjani entered the game in the 65th minute, coming on for de Roon in the midfield. The match finished 3-0 to the hosts who now count 6 points in three games of the Group B for Euro 2024 qualifiers. The same group is headed up by the France of Mike Maignan, Theo Hernández and Olivier Giroud, who all started the match against Ireland.

In Paris, the French side beat the Irish 2-0. Mike picked up another clean sheet, Theo was one of the best on the pitch and played the full 90, whilst Olivier was substituted off in the 26th minute due to the injury to his ankle. On thursday evening, two other Rossoneri took to the field: Simon Kjær captained Denmark to a 4-0 victory over San Marino, Luka Jović came on in the final minutes of Serbia v Hungary which ended 1-2. The Danish ended up in the number 2 spot of Group H with 10 points in 5 games, whilst the Serbians conceded first place to their opposition, now sitting at second in the table.
