AT THE BREAK: AN IDEAL START

Rossoneri on maxiumum points after three games: a quick review on the start of the season

Three wins out of three, nine points on the board and an ever-progressive style of football. If it's still yet too early to predict the end-of-year champions, it is evident that the Rossoneri's start to the season can be seen as very positive. It is not only results and numbers that paint a full picture; there is more: trust in the continual growth and a convincing and fluid brand of football.

Away wins at Bologna and Roma, and a home success over Torino, brought a total of five points for the team in the same set of fixtures in the 2022/23 season. These were not easy games for the Rossoneri this year, that were won thanks to their quality of play, clear ideas and some individuals in great form: Olivier Giroud has already bagged four in 270'; Christian Pulisic has found the net in the two opening league games, and Leão has stepped his game up, finishing with a wonder goal at the Olimpico.

We have already mentioned Pulisic and his impact on the team, which has been lethal and a surprise, but he isn't the only new signing to perform in these three matches: Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders, with quality and quantity, have looked to have taken on board Coach Pioli's ideas and messages quickly, providing assists and match-winning displays.

The attack has shown to be able to find different solutions and be clinical - eight goals in three matches - with Okafor and Chukwueze gradually being brought into the fold to get more and more minutes. After the international break, everyone will be needed because the fixture schedule is incessant, with very little time to rest. So far, though, top marks to everyone.
