It was a day of twists and turns at the World Cup in Qatar. The only goalless draw of the day saw a second Rossoneri player knocked out at the group stage. After the exit of Simon Kjær and Denmark, Charles De Ketelaere's Belgium are also on their way home following a 0-0 draw with Croatia; Morocco won 2-1 against the already-eliminated Canada in the other game in the group to seal the Red Devils' fate. The Milan man was an unused substitute, having made his only appearance of the tournament on matchday two against Morocco.
There will, therefore, be five Rossoneri involved in the round of 16 at the World Cup, which starts on 3 December with Netherlands v USA. Rafael Leão is guaranteed to join his four club teammates - Fodé Ballo-Touré, Sergiño Dest, Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernández - in the knockouts given that Portugal qualified after two matchdays; the Seleção are looking to finish top of Group H with a win over South Korea.
