Three games decided at the death. From 2009 to 2019, the fixture between AC Milan and Udinese has San Siro has been most noted for three particularly special moments, to which we will take you back with this "Time Machine".
6 NOVEMBER 2002: AN UNUSUAL MATCHDAY 1
Rivaldo's celebration with the bench. It was 6 November 2002 at San Siro but matchday 1 on the fixture list. Given that the league hadn't yet secured TV rights at the start of the season, the first round of matches was rearranged. The game, which was played at San Siro in front of 53,000 spectators, was decided by a late Rivaldo goal. In the 89th minute, the Brazilian's free-kick was deflected in by the Argentinian Sensini, leaving goalkeeper De Sanctis with no chance. In the 93rd minute, Inzaghi missed a penalty though that would not change the fate of the match.
9 JANUARY 2011: 4-4 AND CASSANO'S DEBUT
Two assists on his debut in the space of 20 minutes. Cassano, replacing Seedorf, came on in the 69th minute of AC Milan v Udinese to make his debut in a Rossoneri shirt, with the scoreline reading 3-1 to the away side. In the 82nd minute, he set up Pato to make it 3-3 and then, in the 90th minute, he provided another assist, this time for Ibra to equalise once again, after Denis had made it 4-3 to Udinese. It ended 4-4, eight goals to heat up a cold January afternoon on the way to Scudetto number 18.
19 JANUARY 2020: THEO ON THE VOLLEY
Three months after our current boss took the helm, Stefano Pioli's AC Milan was beginning to take shape and that lunchtime kick-off at San Siro was one of the most action-packed matches of the 2019/20 season. Particularly worthy of a mention was Theo Hernández's stunner in the 71st minute, which made it 2-1. Udinese then equalised before Rebić bagged a 93rd-minute winner on a special afternoon for the Croat: Ante got off the mark with the Club, scoring a brace. It was a building block of the AC Milan side to come.
