PLAYER PROFILE: GIORGIA ARRIGONI

2004-born striker, from Bergamo, Giorgia Arrigoni is experiencing her first season in the Rossonera shirt. She joined at the end of August from Hellas Verona, after spending last season on loan at Parma, who played in Serie A. The year with the Gialloblù ended with relegation, but for Giorgia, it was a springboard: 19 appearances that caught the attention and trust of the Club. The 19-year-old spoke exclusively to us about her first steps wearing the AC Milan shirt.

"I want to continue growing as a footballer; it's crucial to strive for improvement every day. Not everyone has the opportunity to train every day with great professionals like my teammates. I want to demonstrate my value at AC Milan and confirm that they made the right choice in choosing me to play for this prestigious Club." In her first months with the Rossonere, Giorgia has played mainly with the Women's Primavera side, first under Coach Corti and then under Coach Zago. Her talent immediately became clear and evident, which saw her make her first-team debut on 11 October 2023 in the 7-2 battering of Hellas Verona, her former team, in the Coppa Italia.

Giorgia experienced the joy of her debut in the 78th minute, a moment that - as she explained afterwards - she will struggle to ever forget: "I don't know how to describe the feeling, I am really very happy and I will never forget this debut. I hope it is the beginning of a good career." Her season has continued with the Primavera, for whom she has scored eight goals with in the first part of this 2023/24 season, including a brace on debut and another double in the big match against Juventus.

However, Coach Corti has already shown he believes, giving Giorgia a good portion of playing time in the 3-1 friendly win against Nice on 6 January 2024. In the meantime, she continues to grow and collect minutes on the pitch with the Primavera in the knowledge that she has the trust of Coach Corti and the entire Club; she is ready to do great things even at a senior level.
