WOMEN'S PRIMAVERA GOING WELL

No shortage of changes in recent months, but the young Rossonere are in the higher reaches of the table

It’s been a great start to the season for the Rossoneri Youth Sector, and the women's Primavera certainly haven't been an exception in this regard. Indeed, the young Rossonere currently sit third on 21 points from ten matches and have notably beaten Inter and Juventus so far.

Compared to past seasons, the Primavera 1 division has been much more balanced in 2023/24, with eight points separating sixth from first. The race to finish in the top four, which would secure a place in the Scudetto Final Four, promises to be tight in 2024. Knowing their strengths and after the changes that have taken place in the past few months, AC Milan are ready to have their say.

Attacking-wise, the Rossonere have certainly done well: boosted by the prolificacy of Longobardi and Arrigoni, their 30-goal tally is the second highest in the league behind table-topping Roma. Impressively, the team have netted eleven goals in their last two games - against Juventus and San Marino - with Longobardi netting a hat-trick against the latter.

As regards the changes, not only is there a new-look squad this campaign, there is also a new face in the dugout. Indeed, with Davide Corti having taken over the women's First Team, Matteo Zago has come in and started his reign with three consecutive victories. Having bounced back from defeats to Fiorentina and Parma, the Rossonere are looking ahead to the new year with renewed optimism.
