UNDER 17, THE FINAL PUSH

Draw in the second derby of the season for Lantignotti's side, with the Final phase in sight

Victory failed to arrive - as in the reverse fixture - but the Under 17 cross-city derby once again brought up lots of emotion and entertainment. On Nerazzurri soil, AC Milan fought back twice, thanks to equalising goals from Tezzele and Bonomi, to draw 2-2, demonstrating the team spirit and desire to never give up that characterises this group of players.

"It was great derby, entertaining and hard-fought,"  commented Coach Lantignotti after the game. "We trailed twice but showed the strength and courage to come back. We controlled possession for large parts of the game, but the draw, in the end, is probably a fair result."

It is now 14 games without defeat for the 2006-born Rossoneri, who since the win over Inter in the first derby of the season have gone on an incredible run, and can go into the final stages of the season with total confidence and peace of mind. The top two teams in each group automatically go through to the quarter-finals.

The Rossoneri - on 48 points in Group B - maintain their ten-point lead from third place in the table, with only six games remaining in this first phase of the season. Taking one game at a time is AC Milan's priority now, starting with the next game against Venezia at the fortress, PUMA House of Football.
