PRIMAVERA: DETAILS OF A MAJOR VICTORY

Not only Traorè's hat-trick but also signs of a growing team

In a month of October that will bring a total of nine matches, Coach Abate's Primavera is travelling at an impressive pace both in Europe and in the league. Saturday's victory came in the dying moments, at the end of a balanced and at times painful match. It felt inevitable after the midweek effort against Chelsea, which yielded an essential win in terms of progressing to the next round.

In Gemona, bottom of the table Udinese, played like a team who needed points and had nothing to lose. The Rossoneri, for their part, played at a slightly more leisurely pace, taking the lead twice and holding out hope for the three points until the end.

A hope that was well repaid by Traorè's pressing (an applaudable hat-trick!), which led to Di Bartolo's error for the goal to make it 3-2. These are details and signs, after all, of a team that on a difficult Saturday still managed to find the tools to turn the game in its favour, against an opponent that would have deserved a draw. It is a symptom of maturity, which will have to be proved in the forthcoming games at the PUMA House of Football: in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday afternoon against Spezia and on Saturday morning against Roma, a big league match.

The growth of the group, although young and in many elements new to these environments, can also be assessed on the physical and mental resilience throughout a month like this one, which presents challenges in three competitions. So far our boys have been worthy of praise, united in difficulties and increasingly aware of their own abilities.
