UNDER 16S: A PERFECT START

Three wins in three matches and Coach Baldo's delight: "A great group to coach"

Three games, three victories, 13 goals scored, 2 conceded and a lead at the top of the table. Not a bad start for the Rossoneri U16s, who have begun the new season in the perfect way. Since last season's Scudetto Final, losing in extra time against Roma, lots has changed: Ignazio Abate has said goodbye to the age group and taken the helm of the Primavera team, and in his place on the bench is Simone Baldo

Having said goodbye to the side - the likes of like Scotti, Bakoune and Parmiggiani are already stars in the Primavera side - the age group is now in the hands of last year's U15 Italian champions, under the expert guidance of Coach Bertuzzo. And the start is more than promising, even for individuals: at the top of the scorers' chart is, as usual, Camarda (born 2008) with 4 goals, but it's Rossoneri domination at the top thanks also to Cappelletti and Liberali's 3 goals and Batistini's 2.

It finished 3-0 in Verona against Hellas in the first match, 6-1 against Brescia at the Puma House of Football and 4-0 against SPAL in the third game, the most recent win. It was a performance that satisfied Coach Baldo: "I have found a group that is great to coach, that won the title last year and is well-matched in all departments. Our aim is to improve the starting eleven with the individuals we have", he told us.

"The start has been completely positive, right from the friendlies. And regardless of the results, the approach to the matches has always been fantastic. Last year's work with Coach Bertuzzo has brought them to a very good level, they have done well, but now we have to grow further to make them express themselves at their best. We are awaiting the big match against Atalanta in 15 days, a team I consider one of our main opponents for the title".
