FIRST AC MILAN PADEL CUP SET TO TAKE PLACE

On Sunday 6 June, the first edition of the AC Milan Padel Cup will take place, a competition that will promote the positive values of sport, friendship and fun. It will get underway on the courts belonging to the Fantini Club in Cervia, in full compliance with current health and safety regulations.

Eight Rossoneri stars will be in involved in the event, which is being sponsored by Bioscalin: Dida, Serginho, Ganz, Eranio, Zaccardo, Antonini, Budel and Zambrotta. They will play padel – an increasingly popular racket sport – and face off in a round-robin tournament.

Massimo Medri (Cervia’s Mayor), Arrigo Sacchi, former tennis champion Omar Camporese and AC Milan legend Sebastiano Rossi will be the special guests at the awards ceremony.

On Saturday 5 June, a women’s tournament will also be held on the Fantini Club courts. Four pairs of female players will take part, including the wives of Zaccardo and Antonini. Just like their respective husbands, both are big fans of the sport.

Also involved in the organisation of the tournament are the sponsors Puma, who will provide the technical clothing, Technogym, who have provided AC Milan athletes with equipment and technology for state-of-the-art training for over 30 years, Head, who will provide the balls and rackets, and DAZN, who will broadcast a special feature on the event.
