AC MILAN v NAPOLI: THE SOCIAL CORNER

The Rossoneri's reaction to the win at San Siro

A 1-0 win over Napoli in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final at San Siro. Just like it was against Tottenham in the Round of 16. Is that a good sign? Let's hope so. The players took to social media to celebrate.

This is Milan. The scorer of the decisive goal, his first in the Champions League and second of the season overall, Isma posted about the stunning display before the game. He hadn't scored since August, and what a time to do it. This is Bennacer.

The smile of UEFA's man of the match. Bennacer may have got the goal but Brahim had a big hand in it with a brilliant piece of skill. This is my team, he wrote. What a team it is.

He put a hammer in the caption, signifying the way forward: the first round is done but the second is more important. Sandro leads the way.

Rafa thanked the San Siro crowd, the Rossoneri's twelfth man who made it an even more magical night. The fans made a difference too.

After a shaky start, with a mistake and a goalline recovery to deny Kvaratskhelia, Rade had a solid game. He appeared resolute in the photos he posted.

Davide sliding alongside the goalscorer after Isma made it 1-0. A splendid picture to go with a dream start to the quarters. Like in Serie A, our captain kept Kvara under wraps.

Simon was happy but not overly so, underlining the big shift put in by the defenders. Not conceding is one of the fundamentals in victory. And so it was. He even came close to doubling the Rossoneri's lead, it was a matter of inches. A leader's performance.

Oli did the dirty work, the bits and pieces. He didn't have a lot of service but worked his socks off. Fooorzaaa, he wrote. Effective and simple.
