CASA MILAN OPENS ITS DOORS TO ROSSONERI FANS WITH DISABILITIES

To mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, 50 supporters spent a special morning at the Mondo Milan Museum and Casa Milan Bistrot, during which they were surprised by Luka Romero

Building on the activities that took place last season and to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, AC Milan invited a delegation of approximately 50 Rossoneri fans and their carers to spend a special morning at its headquarters.

Having been given the chance to take part by social partners of both the Club and Fondazione Milan, the guests got to enjoy a free guided tour of the Mondo Milan Museum, where they went on a journey through more than 120 years of incredible Rossoneri history thanks to a rich collection of memorabilia, trophies and exclusive testimonies.

Furthermore, some of the trophies housed inside the Museum - a place to visit for AC Milan fans, football and sports enthusiasts, as well as anyone who wants to discover the city of Milan from a whole new perspective - were removed from their respective display cases to give the participants an amazing opportunity to touch the silverware with their hands.

As always, the tour finished at the Casa Milan Store, where it is possible to purchase the official kits for the current season, the Christmas Collection designed for the holiday season, and much more.

The group of fans then headed to Casa Milan Bistrot, where they were offered something to drink before being surprised by men's First-Team player Luka Romero, with whom they had the opportunity to talk and take photos to make the day even more memorable.

"Being here with our fans today makes me really happy," said Romero. "Their warmth and passion drive us to always give our all. Football is more than just a sport, and the moments that have been experienced today are further proof of this. We are a team, and we are a family."

Anna Sculli, President of Vharese, the team that wears the AC Milan shirt in the FIGC's Paralympic and Experimental Football Division, said: "This is a historic day for our boys and the entire Vharese family. The time the Club always devotes to us fills us with pride. We're sure that the lads will continue to wear the Rossoneri jersey with pride and gratitude while putting in that little bit extra out on the pitch, which can only happen when true friendships like the one we share with AC Milan are formed."

Such activities fall under the AC Milan for All programme, through which the Club commits to making its physical and digital spaces increasingly accessible, and follow the guidelines set out in AC Milan's RespAct Manifesto for equity, diversity and inclusion.

The Mondo Milan Museum, which recently set up an exclusive space dedicated to AC Milan's Women's Sector and opened its doors to school groups of all ages thanks to a collaboration with Ad Artem, has always been a place where people can get together, socialise and feel a sense of belonging, with many social initiatives also continuously being put on there.
