AC Milan would like to present "AC Milan for All" - the 2020/21 sustainability report - to its fans and stakeholders. The eighth edition of the report, as has become the custom, sheds light on and sums up the practices and principles, which guide any and all initiatives and activities undertaken by the Club throughout the season.
In 2020/21, AC Milan - much like the rest of the world - was forced to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the Club to take emergency action in order to mitigate the effects that the public health crisis had on its stakeholders and on the Club as a whole. In that context, this report is the Club's way of transparently communicating its sustainability, from economics and finances to projects and the core values, upon which the Club bases its social awareness strategies. As well as being a key instrument for communication and transparency, the sustainability report also serves as a stimulus for the ongoing drive towards perfection of our international processes within the Club in order to guarantee that AC Milan is increasingly sustainable in the years to come.
AC Milan, at the end of the 2012/13 season, was among the first clubs in Europe and the first in Italy to publish a sustainability report. The current edition, for the first time ever, has been given its own dedicated section on our website - see here - where all of the contents of this and previous editions of the report will be readily available and freely consultable.
"Our aim, which is now codified with the publishing of the sustainability report, is to create a constructive environment, in which our investments and initiatives can improve the performance of the team, which will then generate more income that can be invested back into performances, and so on," said AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis. "This process must be upheld by a strong, universal set of values, which go beyond what happens on the pitch and made the Rossoneri community proud of their Club."
Martino Roghi, CSR & Sustainability Manager at AC Milan, added: "We're proud to present this report to our stakeholders. It is not only an efficient method to communicate the state of our Club in full detail, but also a vital asset to make the Club even more sustainably in the future, as we take an introspective look year after year with analysis and examine the processes and activities, which began eight years ago now."
