HERNÁNDEZ IS THE MVP FROM AC MILAN v LECCE

Goal and assist, Theo wins best in game after the 3-0 Rossoneri victory

Theo Hernández is living a proper Milanisti experience. The derby as captain and leader, a goal and assist against Lecce in such a short space of time. The Frenchman, on a great evening at San Siro, was the best out there. There was a lot of choice given the big 3-0 win, but the fans - having voted via the AC Milan Official App - didn't hesitate to pick our defender for the award.

Hernández won the MVP with 50% of the vote, beating out teammates Morata and Pulisic who were also amazing to score on matchday 6 of Serie A. If the season didn't get off to the best start, he's helped us recover and react. This is his second goal of 2024/25 after the one against Venezia

There were yet another slew of attempts for Theo who managed to bring the game alive all alone. The slick free-kick for Morata's header gave us the lead, setting us up for what was to come. There wasn't even time to put things back in order before our number 19 managed to repeat something seen before (against Napoli and Torino last season): assisted by Leão, he pushed through the opposition backline to score with a ruthless shot past the keeper and double the lead right away.

We pegged the Puglia side back in no time at all, not even halfway through the game. Theo collected a number of big stats in today's win, equalling a certain Paolo Maldini. In his 75 minutes on the pitch before collecting some rest ahead of the Champions League, he completed 100% of his runs, completed 59 passes of which 36 were going forward, won four challenges, made four recoveries and created three chances. Always a pleasure, often decisive. Vamos, Theo!
