HERNÁNDEZ IS THE MVP FROM HELLAS VERONA v AC MILAN

Uncontainable, unstoppable: a landslide win for Theo as he's voted the best player at the Bentegodi

A superb goal in terms of determination and resilience, and an authoritative performance in defence and abundant in the build-up phase: Theo Hernández is the man of the match in AC Milan's success over Verona, their fifth consecutive victory in a perfect month of March so far. The Rossoneri fans had no doubts in voting for him on the AC Milan Official App, awarding the French full-back over 75% of the votes.

It is Theo's fourth award of the season, all collected in a 2024 characterised by excellent consistent performances, often at a high level. After Cagliari (in the Coppa Italia), Empoli and Napoli, he has added Hellas in Verona to his collection, the scene of his 27th career goal in Serie A; it's an important number, meaning he has now joined Aldo Maldera as the second-most prolific defender for the Rossoneri in the Italian league.

It would be giving him a discredit, however, to reduce Theo's afternoon to just one goal scored, albeit a very important one. After Serdar's tackle in the 6th minute feared a potential injury issue, his response was excellent from that moment on. In fact, the Rossoneri number 19 gave an excellent performance in both phases of the game: metronomic and organised when constructing moves, attentive and determined when covering at the back.

Backing up this last aspect is the number of ball recoveries made: 13. Overall, he made 39 successful passes, created two chances and ran over ten kilometres across the game. Hernández's March for the Rossoneri is already over, since he will miss Fiorentina v AC Milan due to suspension, but with other performances like the one at the Bentegodi then the future undoubtedly looks rosy for Theo and the Rossoneri!
