HERNÁNDEZ IS THE MVP FROM AC MILAN v ATALANTA

It was a great performance to cap off a month that has just got better and better as it has progressed. Captaining the side on the night, Theo Hernández has been voted as the MVP from the 2-0 win over Atalanta. The French full-back gained just over 50% of the vote by the Rossoneri fans on the AC Milan Official App, coming out on top ahead of teammates Malick Thiaw and Rade Krunić.

On a successful night at San Siro, it was his left-footed thunderbolt that brought about Juan Musso's own-goal, an episode that continues Theo's positive trend of scoring against the side from Bergamo, following his goal last time out at home in the league on 15 May 2022. Strangely enough, it is his first MVP award this season.

The Rossoneri number 19 gave a mature, dominant and experienced performance, on a heavy pitch after rain battered down on Milan throughout the day. Theo alternated between his iconic, famous runs forward with many moments of control and possession, resulting in being the Rossoneri's most fouled player.

In the game, Hernández also registered nine ball recoveries, 30 positive passes, two crosses and a whopping  72 balls played, the second-best stat in the team. There's been a renewed tactical focus, in both sides of the game, that has completely transformed Stefano Pioli's side in the month of February. This turnaround has also in a large part been down to the fine efforts of the Frenchman: well done, Theo!
