Pierre Kalulu was solid, clean and - most importantly - decisive against Empoli. He was at the heart of the game both in attack and defence and stuck to Pinamonti and the Cutrone like a limpet, not to mention the fact that he bagged the winner against the Azzurri. The young Frenchman, who was once again in the starting XI alongside Tomori, had another great game.
Let's talk numbers. Pierre scored the second Serie A goal of his career (his first was away at Genoa on 16 December 2020) and became the Rossoneri's 16th different goalscorer in the league this season. He completed 48 passes, made 13 recoveries, came out on top in six of his eight attempted duels and won four tackles. Kalulu is, therefore, deserving of the MVP prize from last night at San Siro.
