With goals in both group game fixtures, Hauge has certainly enjoyed a positive streak against Celtic of late. However, his performance at San Siro was particularly special. Technique, pace and quality encapsulated his display against Celtic, as he proved to be a constant threat throughout. His goal to make it 3-2 was the highlight, as he skimmed several opponents before slotting the ball into the bottom corner. Jens Petter also picked up a precious assist after setting up Brahim Díaz. Following this inspiring performance, he was voted the Rossoneri’s man of the match with over 80 per cent of the fans’ vote, finishing ahead of Çalhanoğlu, Donnarumma and Castillejo.
It truly was a complete performance from the Norwegian starlet in the Rossoneri’s fifth Europa League game in Group H, which ended in victory and qualification to the last 32. In addition to his goal and assist, Hauge also created more chances (three) than any of his teammates, while also topping the charts for regained possession (nine) and duels won (three). Influential in attack but equally as good in defence, the lad from Bodø who arrived in Italy last October has progressed rapidly over the past few months. Incisive and with an eye for goal, he has registered six goals and three assists from his 11 appearances in all competitions this season. Congratulations and keep it up Jens Petter!
