Karl-Heinz Schnellinger went down in football history for his awesome sliding tackle goal that forced Italy and Germany to play extra time in the 1970 World Cup semi-final in Mexico that finished 4-3 thanks to his club teammate Gianni Rivera. He joined AC Milan in 1965, after enjoying spells at Köln, Mantova and Roma. A very consistent and versatile defender, in his 9 seasons with Rossoneri he celebrated a Serie A title, 3 Coppe Italia, a European Champion Clubs' Cup, 2 European Cup Winners' Cups and an Intercontinental Cup.
