Coming from Milan's youth sector he became part of the first team starting from the 1983/84 season, after a positive loan spell at Pescara. Flawless next to Franco Baresi, he won the first league title under the guidance of Sacchi. A clever guy, he never gave up even when he was out of the first team due to injuries, always ready and willing to play when called up, as in the Champions League final in 1994. His honours include 5 league titles, 3 Champion Clubs’ Cups and two Intercontinental Cups.
