A product of Lazio’s Youth Academy, Mauro Tassotti was snapped up at a very young age by an AC Milan seeking redemption. The defender from Rome came out of one of the darkest periods in Milan’s history with a stronger character and more refined technique. A solid full-back, he became a tireless pacy defender down the flank. He was a key component of an amazing defence line alongside Baresi, Costacurta and Maldini. In 17 years at AC Milan side, he won 5 Serie A titles, 4 Italian Super Coppe, 3 European Champion Clubs’ Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups and 3 European Supercups.
