Jean-Pierre Papin had a slow but consistent rise through European football. After his first footballing experiences at Vichy, Valenciennes and Bruges, he joined Marseille where he spent six seasons winning back-to-back titles and the Ballon d'Or in 1991. He joined AC Milan in the summer of 1992 at the height of his career and spent two seasons with the Rossoneri during which he managed to inscribe his name in Club history. In our shirt, he contributed to winning two Scudettos, one Italian Super Cup and the Champions League 1993/94, earning himself a spot in the fans' hearts.
