Coming from Milan’s youth sector, he made the great leap into the first team in 1961, and he immediately won the Scudetto. Untiring hard-fighting midfielder, he significantly contributed to the success of his surrounding teammates, working in the shadows, but also distinguishing himself for his proactive initiatives and goals. He was rewarded for his generosity with a historical brace scored in the derby in 1964 and with the win of two league titles, two European Champion Clubs’ Cups, an Intercontinental Cup, an Italian Cup and a European Cup Winners’ Cup.
