After accumulating a plethora of titles with Dinamo Tbilisi and Dinamo Kiev, Kaladze arrived at AC Milan in January 2001, upon his friend Shevchenko's recommendation. The Georgian player immediately proved to be a bright signing. Initially deployed as left full-back, then in the heart of the defence line, Kakha’s highly consistent top performances allowed him to win a Scudetto, an Italian Cup, an Italian League Super Cup, two Champions League titles, a European Super Cup and a Club World Cup.
