As a precocious talent, Renzo De Vecchi quickly made an incredible career. After playing as left midfielder, he was only 15 years old when he made his debut in 1909 in the first team as a full-back. Endowed with an extraordinary class, he was nicknamed "the Son of God" by Milan fans when at 16 years, 3 months and 23 days he became the youngest player in history to wear the jersey of the Italian National team. After a long resistance, in 1913 he accepted to move to Genoa, with which he won three league titles.
